Bob Saget became famous for his work as a comedian, actor and director.  He is best known for playing the role of Danny Tanner in Full House that aired on ABC in 1987-1995.  In 2007 he hosted America’s Funniest Videos which aired on CBS until 2013.  Bob also co-hosted A&E’s Evening at the Improv with Budd Friedman that was broadcast between 2008 to 2012 and performed stand up comedy specials for Showtime cable network in 1983, 1988, 1994 and 2004.

In 2016 Bob starred alongside Greg Kinnear and Jennifer Aniston and other cast members (including Billy Ray Cyrus) in The Ranch: Part Three Netflix series about life on an old ranch near Denver owned by his father-in-law.

Bob Saget was born Robert Arthur Landolphi Jr. but changed his name at age 18 because there were too many people named Bobby Landon that attended Emerson College when he did.  His television career started early for him, becoming a teenager comedian on a morning show in Boston called The Mike Douglas Show.  He was given his first satirical TV talk show entitled America, It’s A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow from 1977 to 1978.

At age 24, he left the comedian field and became an editor of Playgirl magazine for six months, where he met future Full House co-star John Stamos who would later cast him as Danny Tanner on ABC’s Full House series that ran until 1995.

In 1988 Bob Saget started hosting America’s Funniest Home Videos, which airs every Sunday night at number one with viewers aged 18–49 before it moved to Saturday nights in 2005 when another so-called “funniest home video program” took over Sundays.
